Careers: Director, Product Management
Reporting to the CTO, in this role you will be responsible for the product direction of our Lifecycle Marketing Solution Suite, including our Spark Recommendation Marketing Solution. You will lead both our product planning and product marketing: including managing the product throughout the product lifecycle; gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements; defining the product vision; and working closely with the R&D team to deliver winning products. It also includes working with sales, marketing and client services to ensure our product is supporting the company’s efforts to reach revenue and customer satisfaction goals.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Product Research
- Competitive Research
- Vertical / industry-specific research
- Complementary product research
- Research into trends in the Social and Recommendation marketplaces
- Provide research briefs for management, marketing and sales on the research results.
- Product Strategy
- Working with our management team to develop a product strategy
- Product Roadmap
- Identification of new product features based on:
- Competitive analysis
- Market analysis (sales, client)
- Prioritization of projects, with input from management team members including CEO, CTO, VP Marketing
- Scheduling product development timelines, with input from the CTO
- Identification of new product features based on:
- Working with third parties to assess and develop partnerships
Required skills and experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a software product management role
- Experience as a product manager in a growth stage company (under $5 million in revenue).
- Recognized expert in Social Media and how innovations in social media are impacting and influencing consumer purchase behavior
- Knowledgeable in trends in digital marketing
- Knowledgeable in software technologies
- Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
- Analytical skills and the ability to problem solve
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree
